From The Press
Moments in Time: interactive public art by Shahaf Mor, is a Webby & Anthem Award–winning installation blending AI, real-time data, and community engagement, introducing a new era of immersive public art.
“Moments in Time by Shahaf Mor, AndMural AB isn’t just shaping the Internet—they’re redefining it,” said Nick Borenstein, General Manager of The Webby Awards. “This honor celebrates the fearless creativity and sharp execution that make their work an unmistakable force online.”
The Concept
The idea began in 2020, when the Science Park Towers site in Jönköping, Sweden was still an empty parking lot. From that early vision, it evolved into a living, responsive media installation that unfolds in five generative chapters—drawing from nature, technology, seasons, time, data, and human interaction.
Today, the 45 m² LED wall serves as a real-time digital organism, deeply integrated into its urban environment. It continues to engage its community daily, redefine interactive public space, and reflect the shifting rhythms of life and landscape in Sweden.
Collaborating with AndMurals AB and the towers’ architects, the concept aimed to seamlessly integrate a 45-square-meter LED screen into the architectural fabric. This singular canvas, boasting 65 million pixels and a cutting-edge computer system, serves as the foundation for a unique and captivating artistic experience. Comprising five dynamically evolving chapters, ‘Moments in Time’ is designed to harmoniously coexist with the daily lives of Science Park Towers’ occupants, transforming the space into an innovative hub and a distinctive meeting place.
Inspiration
Drawing inspiration from the rich tapestry of Swedish nature, each chapter unfolds as a unique expression of art, challenging perceptions and providing a momentous experience. Each chapter presented by a user-friendly interface, unveiling the technology’s name, the data API shaping the visual, and dynamic variables like wind speed and direction.
At the heart of the ‘Moments In Time’ concept is the creation of a living organism that transforms with the rhythm of day and night, people and seasons responding to the occupants’ interactions within the building. Beyond capturing fleeting moments in nature, ‘Moments in Time’ acts as a temporal canvas, fostering awareness of climate changes. Rooted in Swedish culture, the installation reflects the nation’s deep respect and integration with nature, encapsulating its vast landscapes, sparse population, lush greenery, and the extreme weather characteristic of climate change. Experience the continuous impact of weather on people, from weeks of sun setting at noon to midnight, disrupting the delicate balance of daily life. ‘Moments In Time’ aims to unify the community, offering a blend of shared experiences, comfort, relaxation, and beauty within its artistic narrative.
Chapter 1 / We Are The Creators / Real-time brush painting
Individuals become both the paintbrush and the artist. As visitors stroll, the 45-square-meter screen gracefully transforms into a pristine canvas.
Showcasing five distinct color palettes inspired by Swedish artists:
Anders Zorn_Dalecarlian girl from Rättvik 1880
Hilma af Klint Group X, Altarpiece, no 1
Carl Larsson Breakfast Under the Big Birch Tree
John_Bauer Guldnycklarna
Julia Beck L’etange
The essence of ‘We are the creators’ lies in the concept that every person can be an artist, crafting something new with each step. In a non-invasive manner, the screen becomes a canvas, urging individuals to create unique movements and contribute to the collective artistry. This chapter challenges the notion of unity among people, emphasizing teamwork and the sense of creation.

Chapter 2 / Dreams Of Nature Real-time data sculpture / Weather-based
A mesmerizing exploration through Jönköping’s dynamic landscape with our real-time chapter. Transcending traditional boundaries, we transformed 29 images from Jönköping area into dynamic particles, choreographed to the rhythm of wind speed and direction. The unique real-time data sculptures challenge visitors with new emotions and creative experiences, capturing the essence of the Swedish landscape in an ever-evolving relaxing visual.

Chapter 3 / The History of Us Real-time data sculpture / Energy consumption/ Interactive sound
Nature-inspired layers mimic water flow and archaeological layers, shifting throughout the day to reflect the building’s energy consumption over a seven-day cycle. As tenants ascend the central staircase, a three-part interactive soundscape of waterfalls and birds sound is triggered, creating a calming, sensory journey. Powered by a high-quality K-ARRAY audio system, the sound design integrates seamlessly into the architecture while fostering awareness around energy usage. Future phases will incorporate comparative data, visualizing reductions in consumption and progress toward clean energy. This chapter illustrates how data, design, and nature can unite to inspire behavioral change and collective consciousness.

Chapter 4 / Bright Days Real-time weather forecast / Day - Night mode / 47 Weather conditions
Before lunch and in the afternoon, the Bright Days chapter transforms the space. Functioning as a real-time weather forecast, this chapter reflects 47 different weather conditions with a 24-hour gradient color palette. The mesmerizing moments mirror the real-time weather outside, capturing snow, clouds, blizzards, and the sun and moon’s locations throughout the day and night. Adapted to Sweden’s extreme weather, the chapter adjusts by time, offering tenants and visitors an enhanced experience with relaxing large-scale gradient colors.
Immerse yourself in a cheerful contrast to Jonkoping’s long, dark rainy days.

Chapter 5 / A Moment in Time Interactive data sculpture / Clock based / Wind data / Day - night mode
Local Swedish flowers extend a warm welcome to employees and visitors both in the morning and at night. These blossoms gracefully follow those ascending the stairs, their petals are dynamic particles influenced by wind direction and speed in real-time. With 99 different setups, each chapter challenges reality with a delightful interplay of tiny and large flowers that burst forth from the screen, tracking your every move. This chapter is a journey, reminiscent with old memories that transport visitors into a fantastic nature experience as they commence their workday or step into a conference. ‘A Moment in Time’ uniquely captures the essence of people interacting with nature and fairy-tells, providing a rare glimpse into real-time wind speed and direction around the building.
